Gsp dying

Hey guys my gsp is dying and flaking away after not coming out for about 3 weeks my water tested perfect with my test and my lfs test what can be the cause of this

There are lots of potential answers/reasons but we don't know any of the specifics yet. Could you post a pic or two? What does your specific setup consist of? Water chemistry, lack of nutrients, aleopathy from other corals, fish eating, nudibranch eating etc... Give us more details and maybe we can help you figure this out.

That is odd, GSP can stay closed a long time and still be fine, but 3 weeks is pushing it. I would take a soft tooth brush and scrub it lightly and then dip it. If it's in high flow try an area of lower flow, if it's in low flow move to higher. Double check your SG as well against another refractometer or hydrometer if that all you have.
