What's the secret to make GSP explode? Mine grows but at a pretty slow rate. I talked to a guy once that said his GSP would grow over all 4 walls of his 80 gallon spanning multiple square feet every 6 months, didn't get into the details but he had pictures. What's the special ingredient

High light, high flow and low N and P is where mine grows the fastest.
I have to peel it off the overflow on a regular basis in this tank. Im not sure how much par the GSP gets but the blue acro up high is getting 500 par. The flow has the GSP whipping around quite a bit.
This is from a little piece I glued down. I can't remember how long it's been tho.

EDIT: the image above was take 4/7 this one today 8/2. Its growing around the corner toward the MP40 now.

This is growing in less flow with much higher N and P and grows slower. Again no time frame, I just never pay much attention to when I stick a piece of GSP somewhere.

Wow nice growth there very beautiful. Isn't it a bit weird they grow faster in lower nutrient water?

It is. Speculation on my part but I think maybe flow and light trump higher nutrients but not many folks I know keep GSP in their SPS tanks where it gets blasted with light and flow so maybe we don't see it in those tanks often enough to know for sure?
