GSP Isolated or let it spread?

I like GSP, I think it looks great on the tank walls or bottom, or on an isolated rock island. I wouldn't put it on your main rock stack.

Do not let it on a main rock in the scape. Do not. I am trying to figure out how to fix this now. I have a structural 10” rock - OG tonga branch, completely engulfed in gsp. And I would ideally like to use this rock for nicer corals but I can’t because gsp will spread and smother them

Yikes! I had a GSP frag setting on my main rock. The frag didn’t survive my dino issues, but now my tank is thriving. And that spot I had that frag setting on has GSP spreading on it.

Cut and peel.

The GSP mat doesn't adhere to anything terribly strongly, and doesn't have much in the way of chemical defenses. If you want to get GSP off of a surface, just make a cut in the mat and slowly pry it away.

It is a pain and time-consuming, but it's much easier to remove than a BTA.

Someone on here said tank water microwaved and hit it with a turkey baster kills it! I've killed aiptasia like that but injected it with needle
