All parameters seem good nitrate a little high @ around 10ppm any ideas?

If you can see the rock work has green algae on it but not much at all Tank been cycled for a week or so

Salinity 1.025
pH 8.0
Temp 78
Ammonia/nitrite 0
Phosphate idk yet but phosguard in tank

Thinking tank is too clean honestly or not getting enough flow or maybe light he is in bottom corner of tank on a isolated rock

Was open in LFS but hasn’t since I put him in tank

10 for nitrates is clean....your phos is prob pretty low too. how old is your tank? are any other corals affected? in my experience...gsp wil do bad either in too clean tanks or too dirty (phos being super high). also if your tank is not properly cycled...(atleast 6 weeks)

How long have you had it?

Mine took weeks to reopen after getting it. I also increased flow.

They are considered quite Hardy. If it's a recent addition give it time.

Try upping the flow or moving it to an area with higher flow.

Also be very sure where you place it. Once it opens it will still spread rapidly. Mine grew up the glass and across the sand. It will cover any rocks it can reach over time!

Huge debate. Think general consensus is in a new tank Keep Them low to battle unwanted algea. Established tank well you do what you want.

10 in a recently cycled tank is doing pretty well.

Think lots of us don't even test nitrates anymore.

will do, there seems to be a thin layer of algae id guess on it i tried to brush it off with a toothbrush but that seemed too harsh will have to get a softer bristle

If it has algae on it then it needs more flow for sure. They are a very resilient coral so I’m sure it will be fine once you find the sweet spot. :)
