Can GSP grow branches and shelves away from the rock? I have had mine for a couple years and it seems to be growing away from the rock . Is this common?

Ok thought it stayed on the rock I did a water change and the polyps retracted and I noticed that

One large branch on the back and a couple shelves on the sides

There is a type of GSP out the called "Corkey Sea Fingers", I had some and it grew projections out from the main mat. Better color than regular GSP

Take it from someone who grows GSP by square ft.

From my last 180G, Had three varieties but the greens won over the pinks.
