Silver IMO. Just out of curiosity and pardon the ignorance, but what does one do with a gun like this? I live In the ghetto so when there's a shooting around here the cops bust those out, but other than dooms day prepping, I got nothing lol.

I live in Ohio and on our land we get a lot of coyotes so you can use it to hunt them also

5.56 NATO is pretty much equal to a .223 caliber hunting rifle. Most rifles chambered in either will shoot both rounds.....

I'd go with the OD and then duracoat the rest of it OD and add a MARPAT pattern to it, but thats just me, lol... I did that with my Rem 700...

Not hard at all really... Wax paper, blue painters tape and duracoat colors of choice...

Lay out the wax paper, cover each side with painters tape.

Cut out your designs. Then peel the tape from the wax paper and place where you want it...

I'd go black. I've got a Ruger AR15. I'd go black as well. As for .223 gun shooting 5.56 typically not recommended as the 5.56 is a higher pressure round. But a 5.56 gun can shoot .223.

I have a Ruger mini14 in .223 and shot a few hundred rounds of 5.56 NATO without issue.

A gun chambered 5.56 can shoot both but a .223 chambered gun shouldn't shoot 5.56

Go black. I'm a police officer. And my buddy had a olive drab one. After using it for a while... Started to get black in certain areas from wear. Black will hold up better... And if ur using this for hunting. Don't do silver. May reflect light.

I've been looking up the whole issue of a .223 gun firing 5.56 and a 5.56 shooting .223 and its a very interesting topic. I had no idea. So I researched the gun I want and it says on their website that it is marked.223 but it is built to shoot both .223 and 5.56. So yay! Lol.

I never really thought about the olive drab starting to turn black. But it makes sense. And ya my buddy kept pushing silver. But I'm going black or olive.

Could be a sales ploy. If it says .223 than only shoot .223. Or swap out the upper receiver for a true 5.56 one.
