Yeah, you just need to be aware of what UV can do and be careful, and I'm sure you'll be fine.

Water is slowly clearing, got eyes on all fish except for Gemma my red coris. She didnt come out for feeding. Worried about her, but I know wrasse burrow so hopefully shes just hiding

I will for sure be looking into that. I wont ever have a heater like that again in a tank!!!

I hope everything‘s going OK for you. I know how scary things can get, another female in the room here with you. I also upgraded to the IM Helio PTC titanium, and as the saying goes it kills two birds with one stone as it also acts as you’re grounding probe since it is in fact titanium (both the heater and temp probe)

Ill have to look into that! Ive got a titanium heater in there now. And yay! Not that many girls in the hobby!!

Update for everyone water is finally clear and I have eyes on all fish. Still cant fine Gemma. I really hope shes in the sand…

Got a glimpse of my little baby goatfish I added before the whole heater fiasco! He is super small but looks brighter. Still a thin little fish, need to fatten him up. Here is him and the grouper acclimating! The grouper is a really good size, shes got some spunk to her. Stunning colors though. Very excited the heater issue is over, going to do another 20g waterchange today but all fish came out to eat minus Gemma. I really hope shes okay…

Lost the new goatfish not sure if it was cause it was really skinny or aftermath of the heater. But other fish are okay. Still cant find my wrasse

Also lost my white tail bristletooth, she jumped. Found her on the floor. Part of my backing in the canopy broke, she made it through that broken slat to the floor. Ugh
