gyre and sandbed

Any tricks to avoid the gyre make a mess with the sandbed? I am desperated

Have you considered installing the gyre on the back wall and mounting it vertically? It's less effective that way but it might not mess with your sand.

What I did was to angle the returns to hit the back wall. Doesn't move the sand around as much

if its blowing your sand the power is too high...lower the flow

Sorry I meant the returns on the overflow. Basically reduce the flow in the front of the tank
