Looks great! I know you plan on covering it in corals naturally...but from a fowlr perspective it looks awesome as is. I've always liked the look of bare stone aquascapes.

did you rinse the dust off the rock before building? Any other tips before I embark on this journey this weekend? By the way, your aquascape looks awesome!

I got my rocks used. They were still full size. They were pretty clean so I soaked them in a bleach solution for a few days with a small cheap power head. After all the smashing glueing, epoxy and more glue I didn’t rinse.

A couple suggestions, maybe repeating: be patient, build a good frame, wear leather gloves and glasses when smashing, good thick nitrile gloves for glueing, figure out the lower sections and as you over build the glue will fail, that’s when I started epoxying. I used popsicle sticks to spread thick glue. Thin glue was a waste of time. As you cover everything in the rock dust have it on a piece of cardboard, makes picking up the extra easier (move rockwork, fold cardboard and pour dust).

I really appreciate the tips! I made a little note section over the last week or two to remind myself as I build. I’ll post it here for anyone who may stumble upon this thread in the future. Obviously some of those such as adding kp rock in the future are specific to my scenario lol.
