Hacking Jebao Cross Flow Wavemaker

I own two, a 120 and 150, but have yet to crack them open. It's on my todo before end of year, getting them controllable externally shouldn't be too difficult from what I have seen.
 
I opened up the controller and it doesn't look very promising. I don't see any good points to tie a signal into the board without soldering directly to a tiny pin or maybe directly to the mosfets. If I want external control, I might be better off designing a replacement board...

Yea, that looks like it would be a pretty heavy customization to the case. :(
