So hair algae and a few aiptasia anemones have come back to my reef again. My yellow tang and kole tang could not stop it. I also may have lost my yelloe coris wrasse after adding the tangs as it had been 5 weeks since I have seen it (it did not jump). Would adding a sailfin blenny and an aiptasia eating filefish help eliminate my problems?
Will the filefish eat my rock flower anemone?
My current stock:
2 ocellaris clownfish
5 bluegreen chromis
1 diamond watchman goby
1 yellow tang
1 kole tang
1 yellow coris wrasse (if its still alive it has been 5 weeks so it may be dead by now)

Lawnmower blenny would destroy the hair algae. Maybe some hermit crabs to pick off the leftovers. I'm not sure about a filefish and nems tbh. I'm personally using peppermint shrimps and in 3 days all the visible aiptasia is gone

I thought the yellow tang would clear it but it turns out he is a mean waste of space that probably killed my yellow coris wrasse that has been missing for 3 weeks I guess i gotta go pick up a lawnmower blenny.

Wouldn't surprise me, had to boot a Yellow Tang from my tank for aggression. I would go with a One Spot Foxface as a replacement. May or may not eat hair algae, but it is generally much better for a community fish and gives you a similar profile fish that is Yellow, they are also highly likely to eat bubble algae (which Tangs often won't touch).
