Hi a LFS has a nice looking Halichoeres margaritaceu currently in quarantine. Does anyone have experience with this species? I’m thinking about adding it to my established mixed reef

Just treat it like most any other hailchoeres wrass. Plenty of swim space, 2 inch plus sand bed so it can bury itself and plenty of small easy to eat frozen food. At least that’s how I treated my Melanurus and was plenty healthy.

They’re pretty easy wrasses on the whole. Like above, treat it the way you’d treat a melanurus or other larger Halichoeres species.

Main risk I have found with these guys is they can be slightly more aggressive than other Halichoeres species. I’ve found them to be on par with Halichoeres hortulanus when they get older.
