hello R2R
how happy i was getting homme from work and excited to open my package of coral food from aquaforest then looking into my tank and seeing a true horror show, i saw one of 3 halloween hermit crab i own eating another one, it was a true frightening sight and know i wonder what could happen next, what can i do to stop this cold heart killer from doing any damages, i think of getting rid of them as i want to add more corals, pico compatible fishes, invertebrate, but what can i do concretly to stom him causing pure havoc on daily basis, as i only have a 2.5G tank and it's a AIO tank so no sump punishment for them, i still have two of them, i love them but i cannot trust them, one of them is a bully and the other is a killer

I had a Halloween hermit attack and kill a large short spined sea urchin, I was very surprised to see that happen!

It is possible the one died and this one was doing his clean up duties.

Who do they bully?

I have one Halloween hermit in my 15g and I don’t think I’ve ever seen him bother a snail or crab

the bully was bullying one of the other hermit, i seperated him for the day and spot fed him then no problems with him but i'm not trusting them anymore

i don't think the dead hermit died on himself because i spotfed him for few days before it happened and he was moving everywhere, even got rid off his moult few days ago...

the only mistake i could have do here is not having spare shells

It sounds like you have this figured out and a territorial Halloween hermit

2.5g is a small tank and might not be big enough for larger hermits like halloween ones.
