Hello friends. I have 2 heads bailing completely on a branch hammer. It has been flowy and happy for a month since I added it. Likewise I have a black widow BTA that has been thriving since I added it in January, and is now shriveled. The only thing that happened recently was my reef mat roll ran out so there was no mechanical filtration for about 24 hours. Could that really cause such havoc??? Parameters are below, as well as video and photos

Temp 78 F
SG 1.025
Phosphate 0.12
Nitrate 3 (usually ~1, may be slightly elevated due to reef mat mishap?)
Alk 8.2

hammer PAR: 170/185 throughout day
BTA par: 100-120 throughout day

Nitrate is a little low to be honest. What's your calcium and magnesium?

I’ll try to get a reading on those, I hate testing magnesium… on nitrate, they were both happy as can be when it was hovering around 1-2…

Consider dosing amino acids to supplement available nitrogen
