I have a green hammer coral that I'm starting to see brown spots or fading colour. Can someone please help me try to understand if this is normal or a problem? I added this to tank a month ago, and if I recall it was fully green, but I'm starting to see on the polyp tips that few have some faded (losing) colours.

You see in photo it is in the lower mid area of tank; and it appears to be fully open, and flow is low-medium - other hammer and torches seems fine fo now. I do not know if it is water or lighting (too much or too little).

The one thing I'll add is that I just added more LPS corals over last several weeks and the ALK was originally 9 when I added the green hammer, and now over a month it's dropped to 8, which I'm trying to bring back up.

Any help would be great. Below are the parameters.

AI Prime 16 lights - using a signature schedule (86% blue and 20W peak) - I do not know PAR.
Salinity - 1.025
PH - 7.8
Alk - 8.0
Mag - 1370
Phos - 0.1-0.2
Nitrate - 10-20ppm

Thanks

What size is the tank and now many primes do you have? Browning often indicates low light

In my opinion I would wait it out. As you mentioned the alk was altered a bit, maybe it affected the coral a little? IDK. The tank looks good the coral looks good., I wouldn't make any changes myself. Maybe others will have better suggestions for you, good luck.
