Hi I got a new hammer coral two days ago and it hasn’t opened that much as you can in the photos. I don’t know if I’m overreacting yet or something wrong and it’s dying. I put it in one of my lowest flow in my tank my water parameters are:
Salinity: 1.025

Nitrates: 2ppm

Ammonia:0

Ph: 7.8

Phosphate: .25ppm

Calcium:460ppm

Alkalinity: 9
I’m using the stock fluval evo tank light
This is my first LPS all my softies are doing great

Hmmm. Doesn't look great right now for sure. Give it another day. Something might be picking on it as well. What all do you have stocked in your system now?

For corals I have palys, Zoas, a toadstool and the only one close to the hammer is Xenia. And for fish and invertebrates clown goby, court jester goby and peppermint shrimp.

Okay I’ll watch the shrimp and possibly move him to my fish only tank. I’m thinking of doing another water change to see if that helps
