Hammer coral producing slime after feeding.

Twice a week I feed my goni a mix of reef roids, goni power, continuum phyto and snow. Whatever is left over I will feed to zoas and hammer.

The hammer produces a lot of slime almost immediately. So is this a good reaction or bad. Many comments I have read say it is a positive response and others say it due to being irritated and trying to rid itself of pollutants.

In general it seems to be doing well but I am undecided if feeding is necessary or helpful.

My torch does the same thing. It still looks happy and full of color. The slime usually goes away pretty quick. I assume its normal and I don't worry about it.
