I was just on vacation for 4 days had my brother look after my tank, I got home everything is doing great except , one of my hammers, other hammer right beside it is doing awsome,
Checked all water and there is nothing that isn’t where it’s suppose to be phosphate is a bit high I figured he over fed worried to kill stuff, I’ll slowly bring it down it’s at 0.3.
I’m new to having hammer corals and LPS, so a little more stressed, is this dying or dead should I be worried?

Its not doing well.... some info will help, parameters, tank age, type of lighting and flow... Your not giving us much to go on right now

Tanks 1.5 years old
Salinity 1.026
Mag 1300
Cal 410
Alk 167ppm on Hanna tester
Phosphate is 0.3
Temp is 79
I have an AI hydra 26 running
The flow is med, I have a powerhead that’s is blowing out the side so it’s not an intense flow, more of a medium flow.
I’ll post other hammer and torch also

If only one hammer looks like this, and the one beside it looks good, think cleanup crew; maybe an emerald crab or a shrimp of some kind?

What livestock is in the tank?

Emerald crab , 3 snails, and 4 hermit crabs, one cleaner shrimp that I haven’t seen venture up there.
Worst part is he can’t give me a time frame of when he closed up he sent me a picture late last night at nights going down and it still looked somewhat closed but hard to tell!

parameters seem just fine, .3 phos might be a little high for some, my tank runs about that w/o issues.

I'm not sure that hammer is coming back.

The pic doesn't show it, but is there any brown gelatinous junk on any parts of it (bjd). If not, I had a hammer that looked close to that bad, and it did come back... But I had another, and it did not.

I have not needed to try this yet, but I have heard others who have had very good success with it...

Nope nothing like that anywhere on it I can almost seen arms wanting to come out, it looks like the day I received it from the store after 10hrs in a dark cooler

Here is another picture a bit better quality

You have to watch your tank after lights out. That's when mischief happens.

How long has that coral been in the 1.5 year old system?

New addition?

Or longer time happy, then vacation, then sad.

I got him about 2 weeks ago was doing great left for four days and when I got back he was closed up well was like that two days I guess
