Hammer coral skeleton rotted?

My brother gave me this frag it has been beat up and wondering if it can come back and if I should dip it, looks like the skeleton is rotted but it hasn’t gotten any worse. Anyone know any tips or what could be going on to fix it. All parameters good and stable just got the hammer from him.

skeletons cant rot, they are bone or essentially a rock(mineral). its fine, just let it heal up
