Hi all. Thanks for reading. Just wanted to ask people's advice on hammer coral growth.

I've had this hammer coral almost a year and it's barely grown at all. I purchased another smaller hammer coral and it has grown a little. I was wondering what would cause this.

My water....

480 calc, 1350 mag, ph 8.1, nitrates 5ppm, phosphate 0.1, alk 7.5 (steady)

I introduced some gfo and carbon into my hob filter to help reduce phosphates. But the only problem is that all my other corals are doing fine. I have an acan, cloves, rbta, Digitata, Duncan and zoas. They're all doing fine and growing. Just my hammers won't grow. If it helps they aren't the branching kind. They're wall hammers, which I heard grow slower. My lighting is one AI prime and one aquaknight v2 LEDs set on a 10 hour schedule. I seen weekly growth out of my sps easily. Hammer are slightly lower than my Montis. It would be safe to say they're getting around 200 par

Wall hammers = extremely slow growers.

I have 1 wall hammer, 2 branching hammers, and 2 different frogspawns. ALl have added multiple heads, while the wall just remains. I think in the 2 years I've had it, it may have added maybe an inch in length.

Wow. Slow growers lol. I guess I'll just keep them hanging around. I don't feed them either because they don't seem to want anything ive tried. Right now I only have a 20 long so it's probably best to have a few slow growers. Thanks for the reply
