Just picked this bad boy up , black tentacles and gold tips ,never seen one like this, this hammer pops like crazy under blues

I'm thinking it's a 1 of 1 piece , usually you can see where corals were cut from the mother colony but this has not cut at all ,can't wait to grow this out !

That's a nice piece watch the water flow if it's moving too fast sometimes a tentacle will break away

I was worried about that do I moved it to the other side of the tank with lower flow

I believe it's branching, but I'm not entirely sure how to tell the difference.
If you get it to close up you can definitely tell the difference , wall hammers have one calcium body while branching honestly looks like a tree with it's growth pattern , wall hammers grow outward while branching usually grows upward

That's a big help, I should definitely say branching. At night, it closes up and looks just like a tree. Thanks for the ID, still learning all this coral stuff
