My mom and I went for a bit of a field trip, and she took me to the LSF for a short period and I bought this hammer.
Now, I'm not a person who impulse buys a lot, but this one just caught my eye and was really cheap. I know it's some kind of hammer coral, but it doesn't look like branching or wall, so I'm confused as to what kind of hammer it is. It's brand new to the tank so it is a little retracted and I have glued it to the rock. The skeleton didn't look like a branching or a wall, so what could it be?

What does this mean? If the skeleton branches, and there are polyps on each branch, it's "branching". If it does not, it's either a single head of a branching hammer or it's a wall...

does a single branching come this big? It's like 4cm diameter. The skeleton looks like this, IDK how to describe it:

Turn your lights off, wait for coral to retract, turn WHITE light on, take a pic, post it here, wait for replies.
Yea, it might just a single. I found a picture on the internet of how the skeleton looks but dang it's a big head thou:

Looks like a coral of some sort.
