Hey guys so I just got this hammer at osa and I feel the colors are very faded and it’s not healthy looking? Am I wrong and over paranoid ‍♂️ Or does it look like something is wrong with it. He has been in the tank for about 2-3 hours.
Thanks in advance

If you want a hammer from a picture, you're going to find yourself a sad person.

Hammer looks great. Needs time to adjust. Color wise? I can't help you there. May want to find what lights they used and what settings.

I’m not trying to be picky with it. I guess what I’m asking is..... is it normal for the tips of them to be faded like that? Also I am running reef breeder lights at 55% on blues and violets 15% on whites 5% on red’s And 5% on green Since I’m talking about it I have my lights come on at 11 AM and gradually get to that percentage at 12pm stay on until 8 PM and died down at 9 PM . So my lights are on for 10 hours each day is that too much? I’m glad you think the hammer looks good that makes me feel better

I don't know what OSA is but are you judging the colours by what you saw on a website or in person?
OSA is a local fish store pretty popular in my area they have a lot of coral selections. I am basing my question off of what I see I was assuming the tips should be a solid green color where this one is kind of faded and some tips barely have any green on them as if completely faded away

Hammers prefer lower light and lower flow. If they look faded to you, it didn't happen in the 3 hrs you had it in your tank. Likely was in a high light environment from LFS, which IME, will cause fading. It doesn't look too faded to me and looks more like a mottled coloring.

If you put it in lower light and lower flow (gentle sway is all you want to see), feed 1-2x week with mysis and/or coral feast (or similar), it should color up nicely. I have one that was so pale it was clear... after 3-4 weeks in low light/flow, it has fully colored back up and is happy.
They will take time to acclimate as well. Try not to move it too much. Place it and let it be.
Make sure your parameters are in check:
Ca 440, Mg 1400, Alk 8-9, salinity 1.025-26
Hammers seem to do better with nutrient rich systems, NO3 10-20 and PO4 0.05-0.1
Hope this helps.

The hammer you have are sold under several names. One most comenly used is splattered hammer coral. They are mixed colors of green and purple.
It looks beautiful. Jasser offered sound advice to help bring out the colors.
Forgive me if I misunderstood your question.

Seems like it’s faded
Faded compared to how it looked 3 hours before at the store? Was it all green when you picked it out? I believe it is supposed to be marbled, so some tips green some tips purple.
