Hammer looking wierd

My hammer coral has thin tentacles! Normal?

I have 2 wall hammers and they will send out what I call a modified tentacle. It looks like an elongated regular tentacle with same colored tip. Just not the same hammer look, like it is trying to stretch beyond normal tentacle length. I think it is their way of getting sweepers tentacles.
