It looks like my hammer coral is moving slowly off the drag plug and onto the rock is that possible or am I seeing things?

Is the polyp detaching, any pics ?

This is with the main lights off I had do it this way to get the picture because when the hammer is opened up you can’t see it the hammer for the most part looks good when the lights are on

That’s a sponge growing on your frag plug and hammer.

I usually don’t worry too much over them. They tend to pop up and once they burn through whatever nutrients they’re feeding on they disappear.

Some sponges can be evasive but unless it was obviously bothering the coral I left them be, always liked the diversity. They are easily removed with a soft toothbrush if needed.
