Hammer placement

I placed my hammer and as it gets happier and a little bigger some of the polyps are resting on the rock by it. Will the hammer get injured from rubbing on a rock or am I paranoid?

I would think it’s safe to say he will be okay I have a frogspawn hitting a rock as we speak!

It'll be safe, you'll find that it'll start growing/leaning more towards your light source.
