Sooooooo, I'm not sure what happened here. My mottled hammer looks like one head is about to kick the bucket. Not sure why or any obvious reasons standing out. I had an orange one that was about 6" away from it that did the same though. (I honestly think that one was my fault though, I may have injured it when dipping by hanging upside down in the dip) This one has been super happy and healthy since I introduced it. I have included a pic from May 14 as well as one of current state. Love my LPS and don't want to see it spread or cause any issues with parameters.
Currently on Sandbed mid tank with a rock breaking the flow in front of it from a maxspect gyre 150. All my other hammers and torches in that area look fantastic. (I'm concerned it's brown jelly but don't see any infection, just looks to be melting). Lighting is dual kessil 160we and dual t5 (ati coral+, ati Blue+) 110 gallon tank, true 14 gallon fuge and 15 gallon sump. Parameters are consistent:
Alk 8 api
Cal 500 api
Phos 0 on api kit
Mag 1500 Salifert
Trate 5 Salifert
Temp 79 (fluctuates 78-79 between day and night)
