Hammer splitting?

My hammer seems to be throwing up its guts in the middle here. Ik they do that sometimes I'm curious if it's more of a sign of splitting or if it's just upset

^^^ agree…look to see if it is forming a second skeleton from the first. Also when my hammer and candy cane corals are going to split they take on a pinched, figure eight look to them, which yours seems to have as well.
