Hi. I got a hammer through a trade and it is doing pretty well now and I'm ready to place it but was wondering if I should trim away dead stalks. You will see in the picture that there are two dead stalks and it appears dead at the bottom with the live portion starting a little bit up the main stalk marked in red. I'm not sure what I must do, or should do or don't have to do. Should I cut at red in which case the coral would be very short. Or just do the purple cut and call it good. Thank you for any advice and don't mind the hammer itself, took the pictures early in the am before the light period started.
