I recently bought this hammer and it is mt first lps and i was wondering if it looks healthy

Then I would say it doesn't look great. It's not unusual for them to retract for part of the day and be open for a shorter time, but if it always looks like that, it's unhappy about something. I know this doesn't help much, but it could be water parameters, flow, or lighting.
