Hammers Touching

Do you guys let your hammers touch? Mine are and as far as i can tell, all is well. Below is the pic of mine. I heard that hammers from different regions should not touch but i don’t know what i have. Any advice is appreciated.

They will let you know pretty quickly if they don't like each other. But ultimately they should have a few inches of space between them to give them space to grow. IMO
 
Hammer, Frogspawn and octospawn are touching in my tank. Yes more space w9uld have been nice if I had it.
 
I keep wondering if the one on the left would prefer to be away from the one in the middle of the pic. It doesn’t puff up as much as it used to.
