Hands in tank activates feeding response?

I noticed that every time I put my hands in my tank, my scoly activates it’s feeding response. Tentacles out and everything!

Has anyone else noticed this with their corals?

No but my fish go crazy anytime a pipette enter the tank

When i put my hands in the tank my green star polyp goes crazy with the feeding response.

Oils on the skin. They enter the water and are detected right away. You can test this by using a silicone glove (no powder).

Very interesting, I just posted a thread too not having seen yours. My scoly does exaclty the same and by chance is similar colour too.
