The calibration kit for the HI772 checker is $33. The calibration kit for the older HI755 is only $19. From what I understand, the cuvettes, reagents and ratios are all the same for both testers (the only difference is in how the results are displayed on the machine -- one in PPM and the other in DKH) so my question is this... Does it matter which calibration vials are used?? It seems to me that they should be identical. Am I mistaken about that?

I think you are correct, as long as the range is the same (High or Low) for the test? If it's the same range, the reagents are also compatible, that I know with Hanna. GL

Just an FYI, these calibration vials are of limited utility. It only checks the electronics, not any aspect of the testing protocol involving chemicals, vials, and human procedures.

I personally see no reason to get them since failures are most often elsewhere.
