So I’d like to update everyone and say I figured it out.
The Red Sea black bucket I bought had a alk of 7.2

I have no clue how it is so low and it’s crazy that this made it through Red Sea I’m lucky I actually used 90% of the bucket on a new tank I’ve recently set up and not one of my established ones
Thanks for providing the update.

Yes, it's always a good idea roll a new bucket of salt around before mixing, and to then check the Alk and Ca after being mixed as directed.

If you spot a problem and the parameters are way off, it is then quite easy to correct in the mixing bucket before adding to the tank.

Keep in mind though that if you perform a 10% water change on a tank with an Alk of 10 dKh, using replacement water with an Alk of 8, the difference will only amount to 0.2 dKh once added to the tank (10 percent of the Alk difference). It can become more important if you are performing large water changes.
