So I learned NOT to add an encrusting coral near your wannabe Zoa garden. Turns out once the digi got settled, it took off and started encrusting over my zoas… quickly!!

I’m getting the impression one day it will cover the whole rock and then the zoas too…

Learn from my mistakes and don’t add any stony corals near your zoa garden.

I like the natural takeover. I’d remove a bunch of the Zoa heads from the rock and place on another. Sometimes you can get it off like a mat if you use a blade between the rock and zoas, slowly peeling upward.
