Hard unidentified bubbles on wavemaker

Hi fellow reefers!

Does anyone have an idea what this could be? showed up on my wavemakers. They are hard clusters of bubbles. I touched them with my net and they are quite hard, I cannot even remove them from the wavemakers with ease.

Tank is about 1.5 years old, got two clowns, a torch, GSP, lots of trochus snails (They spawned a lot before but their eggs are not nearly as large as this i think), turbo snails, zombie snails, and a cleaner shrimp.

Bubble algae

Maybe the worst pest in the hobby. Get ahead of them now

There are different bubble algae genera and I'm not really good in differentiating them.

Boergesenia sp.,
Derbesia sp. (gametophyte formerly known as Halycistis),
Dictyosphaeria sp.,
Valonia sp.,
Ventricaria sp.

Just scrape them off in the sink and maybe brush some peroxide on the places it has been sitting on, if you want to be overly cautious. I doubt it's possible to fully get rid of it once it's in the tank so it will grow here and there from time to time. It doesn't always become a nuisance/plague.

Thanks so much for the replies! No idea where the algae came from as I didnt add anything new to the tank in the last three months. Maybe it just needed some time to appear in mine. Anyways I cleaned it off, found one snail who had bubbles on his shell, got it cleaned and threw it away. Thanks for the ID!!
