Tank parameters are good, but woke yesterday morning and found my 2 GSP to be covered in what looks like white sugar. I tried to scrape it off with a toothbrush but it’s not coming off. Any help? The polyps are only out on 1 small piece on the end. The rest is totally covered.

Almost looks dead. I have no idea why that would happen over night. I have some GSP in 4 tanks and have never experienced this. Do you have any other coral?
I do. Have 2 hammers, 2 spa. 3 torches and a toadstool. All doing well.

Both GSP were left alone and after a week they both came back to normal. It’s so weird. Did nothing to the tank. Didn’t change lighting or water change.

I’ve had mine for over 4 1/2 years and they occasionally do this for about a week. I have no idea why.

Very strange. I tried to brush it off and it was like cake frosting but wouldn’t come off so I just waited. Those things that make you go hmmm!
