I had 2 of them. To kill the thousands of white star fish I had In my tank. They where really cool to watch under moon lights but they never came out during the day for me.

You will need a Heathly population of star fish or you will have to feed them ones you buy from store

Love them but expensive to keep long term as they only eat starfish. I have a pair that eat one starfish a month.

I had mine for 2 years and I never had to feed them. But it was getting to the point where I was going to have to. Every day I you couldn't see threw my glass. There where so many star fish.

I asked them at my lfs and they said one was fine but I can get another one later

I'm sure one will be fine. It's just recommended for 2. There are allot of things in this hobby that do better in pairs. Plus seeing them both eating star fish is pretty cool.
