Has Aluminum ever crashed your tank or killed livestock?

I'm working on a DIY chiller system and seriously considering anodized aluminum heat exchangers.

Asking if anyone can directly attribute exposure of aluminum, coated, uncoated or anodized to a tank crash or significant livestock death?

Alum - an aluminum salt, is added to some municipal water systems as a flocculent. This can cause congestion of the gills of fish if not filtered out first. I've not seen issues with aluminum dissolved in water though. That said, ALL of my marine heat exchangers are titanium, and I know that is safest.
