Has anyone ACTUALLY added a sump to an AIO? Can I see??

I have decided to try and add a sump to my 40 Gal AIO. Has anyone ACTUALLY done this? If you have, I would love to see your setup and what you did.

also, what's a better location for a sump, below the tank or next to it?

If there is room below it will hide the equipment .
But I don’t think beside or below would make a difference

I don’t have any pics anymore but I sliced and drilled my old biocube and added a drain that connected to the sump of my 70g tank. So one sump that pumped to 2 tanks and both drained back together.


As far as space it just depends what will work best for your situation. Side or below can both work
