I was a slacker and bought the tunez magnetic frag rock shelves they were one of the few rated for 1/2" acrylic haven't had any issues. By the time I bought strong enough magnets the price was close to what the shelves cost. There's two on the left and one center of the shallow side

I glued a piece of rock onto my glass overflow. It was about fist sized, and I just used gel super glue that you would use for gluing frags. Was really quick and easy and bonded nicely. The rock however was completely flat on one side like it had been cut, it came in the box like that which was a nice bonus for me.
