Hatching Brine Shrimp in A Tank?

Now I am new to saltwater, I've got 2 saltwater tanks running (just set up a 32.5 flex today) and about 15 freshwater tanks going. I am no stranger to hatching baby brine shrimp for feeding baby fish in freshwater, but I know they hatch in salt, so could I just dump eggs into the tank and the naupilli would hatch?

Now, from my knowledge it could work, given all the eggs aren't sucked into the filter. I would assume it would basically be a recipe for ammonia spike and nothing much would come of it, but this is more of a question of could I, rather than should I.

Just really curious as to has anybody done this, and is it practical at all?

I think some people hatch them in a container that they dose the tank from with a dosing pump, but I haven’t heard of anyone hatching them directly in tank. I’d think if it did work when done in tank, it would be an inefficient way to do it.
