Thank you! Great sources. That helped me confirm mine is most likely female, shes got 5 and a very small band at the top but her fins are shorter than her spines! If I wanted to add another breed like a fu, would I need to make sure that was male or does it not matter if its a different kind of lion? That's what my LFS told me but you for sure have way more knowledge than them

Your lion is still small right, they have to be over 4 to even 4.5" to definitively sex them. A fu and fuzzy are fine tankmates. If you read through the whole thread you'll find more concise info on keeping multiples.

Ah okay! So do I need to wait until mine is that big to get the fu or does it matter what sex they are?

With that combo it doesn't matter, I forgot what size tank you have, although even a fuzzy and fu would have no problem in a tank as small as a 55g. Other species may have a bit of angst between males in smaller tanks
