Hello all,
I recently got myself a green Florida riccordia locally and I can't tell whether it is happy in my tank or not. Yesterday it seemed to be retracting a bit and pooped out some brown stuff from one of its mouths. I don't have any experience with riccordia but from what I read it might have been getting too much light so I moved it into a lower light area of my tank. It is mounted on a piece of rock and I think it might be more than one mushroom because it has three mouthes. If someone who has experience with riccordias could tell me if this looks like normal polyp extension looks like or what I should be looking for as signs of distress. Thanks.

It looks just fine! I have several ricordeas and I sometimes see brown globs of whatever coming from their mouths...I keep mine lower in the tank with lower flow and that's about it.

It looks lime it's getting ready to split. If there are 3 mouths, and 3 humps, it's gonna split. (Or it could be a new kind of camel.)
