Heater placement sump

Hi

Where should I be placing the heater in my sump?
1st chamber is reefmat
2nd skimmer
3rd refugium
4th pump

And I m thinking the temp sensor at the opposite side of the sump.

i just put mine anywhere...
but i have an aio 10gal
try the pump chamber, then try the tank, monitor temp
others will most likely have better answers, just tryna help :D

You may want to consider the temp probe in the display tank. In the sump the temp going down will indicate that the heater may not be working, but if the probe is in the tank and the temp is declining it could also mean that the return pump is off, so just an added safety measure.

Running 2 probes.. one from D-D and one from Red Sea top up…
