Heater size?

So I have a 30 gallon breeder frag tank in my garage which naturally stays cool. Since its half under ground. I insulated 3 sides of the tank. And wondering if a 150 watt heater will heat it in the winter? I live in nc.

How cold is your garage and what temp do you want the tank? Also what temp is the tank at tight now?

I guess it will get as low as the 40s in the winter. In my garage. Tank stays at 78deg 24/7. Summer time my garage stays around 72.

I've always read a heater only will raise the temp 6 to 8 degrees. If that's true it looks like the 150 would bring it from 40 to about 52 or 56... Being a 150 is rated hight than 30 gallons...
