I like my new one Aquaheat has a nice easy to read external controller . Or Titanium. I don't know what you mean by redundancy factor
I won't recommend a brand, but I will recommend that you get two heaters, each 1/2 the size you need. That way if one fails (and they usually fail to on) the other can compensate without killing your tank.

I would add the redundancy yourself by adding an Inkbird or other temperature controller. That way, even if the heater fails in the on state, the Inkbird will cut power to the heater when your tank in at the desired temperature. I use Innovative Marine's Helio PTC heater in my reef tank. The heating elements are nice and compact. On my freshwater tanks I use Aqueon Pro heaters, but I should caveat that by saying I bought a bunch before they moved production to China.

The controller plugs into the wall, and it has its out outlets that are "behind" a relay. It also has a probe that get placed into the water. You program the controller to say when its outlets have power, and when they don't. For example, you can set it so they when the temperature detected by the probes drops to 75 F, the outlets are "on" (have power going to them). You can also set it so that when the temperature gets to a certain point, the power is cut (relay switches off). This drastically reduces the risk of overheating the tank.
Theoretically, you could set the onboard temperature control of your heater to 100F, and it wouldn't matter, because the only time the heater would be on and heating the tank is when the controller's probe is reading that the temperature is below the desired range.

Sorry. Something with a safety factor if it gets stuck on it will shut off or I get a notification / alarm.
