Gotcha. Thank you sir I’ll stay the course

Well - just be aware that any antibiotic treatment without doing a sensitivity study (not practical to do with fish) is a pure guess....so, your guess is as good as mine (grin).

Is the angel still feeding with the same vigor?

Is the angel still feeding with the same barely ate the frozen food but just now ate pellets. Again it’s the mouth that is my concern and it looks painful. It is swimming near food. Such a frustrating hobby. Thanks again

Not with the same vigor. It looks like it wants to eat more just the mouth is all inflamed. Just now it ate pellets. It struggled with frozen food. Such a frustrating hobby. Thanks again

Here is a closeup of the mouth. Very interested in food just looks like it can’t open that well.

How rigid is that netting? Could it be contributing to the mouth injury?

Jay good news the breathing is much better and still eating. Still very active and swims near me when I come in the room. Bad news is the mouth appears to be worse and not getting better. I just did the 3rd time of kanaplex. Should I do that in another 48 hours or should I try other medicine? I have maracyn for a possible gram positive bacterial infection. I would appreciate your input. Thank you.

No - that should be the end of trying Kanaplex, you don’t want to dose it too long, it can become toxic.

I would try another antibiotic - Maracyn 1 (erythromycin) would be my next choice.

Exactly what I’m thinking. I have learned a lot from you and I’m thinking Graham positive
