Neither are overly shy once established. In fact they tend to ignore the other tank inhabitants for the most part and just do their own thing. My current Hectors is always out and about.

The Pink Skunk is less aggressive than most clowns but all clowns are stout, rugged, territorial fish. It would be best to add the goby first. If your tank is young I would suggest you go with the Court Jester from Biota as it is not as reliant on micro-algae and has been raised on prepared foods. If possible, add the clown last so that the others have a chance to establish territories before it is introduced.
Thanks!

Thanks, this was very helpful. I can definitely add the clown last, and that’s probably what I would’ve done anyway. But thanks for the input about the gobies! I’ll probably go with the court jester just for that ease of feeding

Sorry for being so indecisive 😅. But I didn’t quite feel good enough with the pink skunk clown, so I did a little more looking, and saw royal grammas! I don’t know why they didn’t pop into my head sooner, but after looking into them a bit, I think one would be a much better fit than the clown. I’ll still add it last though.

I had a biota court jester that would only eat live baby brine initially. Took a month or so before it ate live grindal worms. Took several months before it accepted CDO pellets. Took another few months before it could keep down frozen mysis.

It may be outcompeted for food if you don’t really work at it. I would get that fish first, train it to eat, then introduce other fish.

Oh, hopefully I don’t get one like that. But if I do, how did you go about training it? Do you just add food until it takes?

lol, pretty much. I offered it pellets and frozen mysis from the start…it just took it months to figure it out.

Oh, thanks, I saw how BIOTA aquaculture’s them, I’ll definitely try and get it from there. I’m not too fussed about size, but just out of curiosity, how big did them come?

They were probably no longer than 3/4 inch - 1 inch long. One was slightly larger than the other.
