I'm setting up an auto water change and wasn't sure if this is necessary. Does where the new saltwater exiting the dosing tube and into the sump have to be higher than the water level of my saltwater container? I would assume that w/ the neptune dos in place that's not required and it woudln't keep a continuous siphon going.

If you're using the dos it's a parastaltic pump it wont a low a siphon. If you were using a standard pump then yes it would have to be higher.
